The upcoming school year is just around the corner, and Holly Area Youth Assistance (HAYA) is here to ensure our local students have the tools they need to succeed. Applications are officially open for our 2026 School Supplies Program.
This program provides backpacks and essential school supplies to families residing within the Holly Area School District who are experiencing financial need.
How It Works:
- Eligibility: Participation is based on financial need, following the 2026 income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). You must reside within the Holly Area School District (including the Village of Holly, Holly Twp, Groveland Twp, Springfield Twp, Rose Twp, or White Lake Twp).
- Distribution: Supplies are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while funding and inventory last.
What Happens Next?
Once your application is reviewed and approved, a HAYA representative will contact you directly via phone or email to schedule a specific date and time for you to pick up your child’s school supplies from our office.

If you don’t need assistance but want to support the community, you can make a direct impact on a local student’s education. The HAYA School Supplies Program relies heavily on the generosity of neighbors like you to keep our shelves stocked.
Here is how you can help:
1. Drop Off Physical Supplies
We accept new, unused school supplies at our office. High-demand items include:
- Sturdy backpacks (especially heavy-duty ones for middle and high school students)
- 3-ring binders (1-inch and 2-inch) & dividers
- composition books & Post-it Notes
- water bottles & Expo Markers

2. Make a Financial Donation
Monetary donations allow us to purchase specific, bulk supplies at a discount or fill gaps for items we run short on.
- By Mail / In Person: Checks can be mailed to Holly Area Youth Assistance with “School Supplies” in the memo line and sent to our office at 14770 N. Holly Rd in Holly, 48442.
Every single marker, backpack, and dollar helps ensure a child in our school district walks into their classroom on day one feeling confident and prepared.
