Message from the HAYA President

Good morning, HAYA Bd of Directors, liaisons, and friends,

I have not been able to set up the Sign Up Genius account. Our office moved once again, causing this delay. The School Supplies distribution and some personal stuff on my end also contributed to this delay. Our September board meeting is approaching, along with the Family Fun Tailgate. The Holly Days Parade and Holly Play Day are also coming up. I just need to get the NEED for VOLUNTEERS out to you ASAP.

So, here it goes:

Family Fun Tailgate: This is an event for students before the first home football game of the season. It will be Friday, September 5th, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the high school. HAYA needs 2 volunteers besides me to do tattoos and run sack races, and tug of war.

Holly Days Parade: HAYA needs the following; (parade line up at 10 a.m. Holly VFW Post and goes to American Legion) 2 people to carry the HAYA banner, 10 parade walkers (5 on the left and 5 on the right) to hand out fliers, little toys, and candy also 2- 4 people to ride in the back of Sam’s truck (I’ll supply the step stool to get up into the bed of the truck and the folding chairs) Holly Play Day: This event follows after the parade and is held in Crapo Park. I will already have the HAYA table set up and the games and prizes. I will be there from 2-4 p.m. to help run games and take down. HAYA needs 2 – 3 people from 12 – 2 p.m. to run games and 2 people to run the games from 2 – 4 p.m.
